METHUEN -- Anna J. (Catalano) Tombarelli, 72 of 4 Oak St., died yesterday at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, N.H.

Born and educated in Methuen, she attended St. Lucy Church.

Her family said she enjoyed cooking for large gatherings and was always there to help anyone in need.

Mrs. Tombarelli owned and operated Catalano's Beauty Salon, formerly on Garden Street in Lawrence.

Family members include her husband, Anthony M. Tombarelli of Methuen; daughters, Mrs. Michael (Maryann P.) Coppola of Bradford and Mrs. Robert (Grace Marie) Green of Lawrence; sister Mrs. Alec (Josephine) DiZazzo of Methuen; and several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Lucy Upson, formerly of Andover.

A Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Lucy Church. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Friends may call tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Cataudella Funderal Home, 160 Garden.
